About NIMAC Events
The Northern Interior Medical Advisory Committee (NIMAC) meets monthly. The purpose of the committee is:
- To make recommendations to the Northern Health Medical Advisory Committee (NHMAC) regarding the Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA) level needs in the area.
- To advise the Chief Operating Officer and the Northern Health Medical Advisory Committee on the following as they pertain to programs and facilities operated by the Northern Health in the Northern Interior:
— Provision of medical care
— Quality and effectiveness of services related to medical care in the HSDA
— Medical staff resources needed to meet the needs of the area
— Planning goals for meeting the medical care needs of the population served by the Northern Health in the Northern Interior Health Service Delivery Area
— Professional issues of importance to the medical staff
— Operational issues effecting medical care of patients
— Provide medical input into the Northern Health Medical Advisory Committee decision making as needed.
