Dr. McLeod is a family physician. She is a registered member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians.
Dr. McLeod has been practicing medicine for 32 years, with 26 of them providing service in the north. Before moving to Prince George she practiced full-service family medicine with an added component of GP surgery. She moved to Prince George in 2004 to be closer to family, and still enjoys practicing northern family medicine.
Leadership positions include:
- Assistant Dean in the Northern Medical Program
- Northern Rep for the Canadian College of Family Physicians, and
- Board member of the Prince George Division of Family Practice
Dr. McLeod has participated on numerous committees for the improvement of patient care and enjoys participating in mentoring 1st and 2nd year Northern Medical Program students.
As a medical staff association board member, Dr. McLeod is particularly passionate about the physician voice in healthcare. She would like to see transformation of the healthcare system through transparent, inclusive, and equal relationships with other healthcare stakeholders so that northerners have access to healthcare services they deserve.
